What We Do

For clients & investors

Krambo Corporation structures and places financing transactions on behalf of affordable housing developers, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and other nonprofits that support community development.

We believe in enabling tangible positive social outcomes such as affordable homes for families in need, filling vacant lots with developments that can become vibrant communities, and removing blight from neighborhoods where existing homes may increase in value.

These outcomes are the basis of our mission and are what drive us. Learn more about what we do for clients and investors.

Our History

How did we get here?

Krambo Corporation was founded in New York City in 1966 by Douglas C. Kramlich, who had previously worked at Connecticut General Life Insurance Company (CIGNA) as an analyst in its debt securities department. Having grown up in a family that owned a 55-store supermarket chain sold to Kroger in the mid-1950s, Doug intended to specialize in the placement of financing transactions on behalf of food wholesalers and retailers.
